Substitution of soybean meal for fish meal in Penaeus merguiensis

Feeding experiments with Penaeus merguiensis were performed in 200 glass aquaria fitted with a closed recirculating system, P. merguiensis with weight range from 0.035 to 0.043 g. were reared by using 8 diet formulae (40 % crude protein, 10 % crude fat) containing varying levels of soybean meal (25, 35, 45, 55 %). Each treatment comprises 4 replications. After a rearing period of 2 months it growth, FCR and survival rate, but there were no significant differences among these treatment.
