Threshing injury was investigated on sweet corn seed. Threshing drum speed was adjusted at 4 levels eg. 300,350,400 and 550 revolutions perminute and 3 levels of seed moisture content were set at 10, 13 and 16 percent. Threshing machine was reducing the germination percentage and seed vigor. The most suitable speed was at 400 revolutions per minute and 13 percent seed moisture content but hand threshing method showed the best result. Seed moisture at higher or lower than 13 percent will reduce seed storability and hand threshing also showed the best result. Tooth pegs were covered by plastic tube at 2.5 mm. thick did not reduce the damage to seed quality.
