Parasites fauna of Oxyeleotris marmoratus (Bleeker) from some natural water resource at Amphoe Pra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya [Thailand]

Studies were conducted on the parasites infested in Sand Goby Oxyeleotris marmoratus (Bleeker) collected from some natural water resource at Amphoe Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. It has been found that, out of a total number of 300 investigating fishes, 288 were infested with the parasites (69.0 %). All of the parasites, ectoparasites and endoparasites: found 16 species, there were 3 species of ectoparasites: Henneguya sp., Dactylogyrus sp. and Lernaea arcuata, 13 species of endoparasites: Clinostomum philippinensis, Palichnibothrium sp., Pallisentis nagpurensis, Camallanus yehi, Camallanus trichogasterae, Zeylanema pearsei, Zeylanema sp., Dacnitoides sp., Gnathostoma spinigerum Proleptus anabantis, Spinitectus I, Spinitectus II and Spinitectus III. The largest number of ectoparasites Lernaea arcuata was found to be 64.0 %, while the least number of ectoparasites was Dactylogyrus sp. found to be 36.0 %. The largest number of endoparasites was Zeylanema sp. found to be 40.67 %, while the least number of endoparasites was Clinostomum philippinensis, Camallanus yehi, Camallanus trichogasterae, Zeylanema pearsei, and Spinitectus I found to be 0.3 %. The ectoparasites found infested during the period of study were Henneguya sp., Dactylogyrus sp. and Lernaea arcuata. While endoparasites found infested were Zeylanema sp., Pallisentis nagpurensis, Proleptus anabantis and Spinitectus II.
