Efficiency of some insecticides for corn leech control, Lema melanopus L. (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)

The investigations have been done under the field conditions as well as the spring barley or wheat located on the regions near Belgrade (Yugoslavia). According to the four-year investigations, the mixture of active substances and its acting is very good as well as the effectiveness of pyretroids themselves. Chemical Bancol 5WP is very effective in Lema melanopus L. control, and is based on chemicals. Chemicals which consist of the mixture of two active substances (pyretroids and organic-phosphor compounds) are very effective and have the great advantage in comparison with the others. It is established that the Lema melanopus L. is very sensitive to all tested insecticides.
