Choice of the corn yield production function depending on the application of mineral fertilizers
1993
Maletic, R. (Faculty of Agriculture, Belgrade (Yugoslavia))
The objective of the study was to investigate the effect of 36 combinations of NPK fertilizer application on corn yield on different soil types and under various climatic parameters in order to develop a mathematical and statistical model for determining the actual fertilizer-yield relationship under prevailing conditions. Investigations were carried out on two soil types, brown forest soil and pseudogley. Full attention was focused on selecting the production function and mean production function for both soil types. Nitrogen effects on corn yield increase were most prominent and largest on both soil types, followed by phosphorus. Potassium effect was, however, insignificant.
