This article examines the transformations of the Greek agricultural structures in the holdings after the second world war period and tries to point out some basic problems of the socioeconomic status of farms. There are four main sections. The first and second sections are devoted to the evolution of land and technological farm structure. In the third section the transformation of cultivation systems is examined. The social status of farms with main reference to demographical and social characteristics of people active in agriculture is considered is the fourth section
