Effect of levels of nitrogen fertilizer and cycocel spraying on yield, its quality and storability of potato Solanum tuberosum L.

This was conducted to study the response of potato CV. "Clauster" to levels of nitrogen fertilizer (0, 100, and 200 kg N/ha) and spraying of cycocel at concentrations of 0, 2000 and 4000 ppm for yield and its quality and the storability of tubers in the spring season. Total and marketable yield, number of tubers per plant, and tuber contents of N, P and K were increased significantly, whereas percentage of starch and dry matter in tubers were not affected significantly due to addition of nitrogen fertilizer in both seasons
