Study of the naturally occurring tumors in domestic animals in Baghdad

In a survey to evaluate the types and incidence rates of naturally-occurring neoplasms in cows, sheep, goats, horses and dogs, we reviewed the medical records of the Department of Pathology. It was found that the incidence rate of cutaneous neoplasms was higher (60.6) in horses than in other species of animals. Musculoskeletal neoplasms were found only in dogs and horses. Mammary gland neoplasms were more common in dogs (30) of the total number of neoplasms in dogs with the highest incidence (78.9) of mammary adenocarcinoma. Lymphoid neoplasms were most common among cows (4) and same with ocular neoplasms (33.5) between total number of neoplasms in cows 31.5 percent. Respiratory neoplasms were encountered only in sheep with the highest rate of pulmonary adenomatosis. Digestive neoplasms were diagnosed in cows
