The modelling of interrelationships in the sector of Latvian agriculture

The system of mathematical models intended for the description of relations between different branches in agricultural sector has been examined. The aim of modelling is to forecast the best use of the agricultural potential under the conditions of economic independence. The characteristics of the system are described and the most important one is pointed out. The results of experimental calculations are discussed. They show that the model reflects the conditions in the Latvia countryside and can be used to study the shortage of material resources in food production. It can also be applied to investigate the problem of a better policy in agriculture
