Biochemical parameters of wild animal blood and meat

Possibility to export game to EC countries has been discussed. As the exported game must be of high quality the necessity to control the health of wild animals is pointed out. For that purpose the biochemical indices of animals blood must be obtained.In the investigations carried out at the Latvia State Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science the blood biochemical indices of elks and stags grown up in Gauja National park have been determined. To evaluate meat quality, the rations of oxiproline and tryptophan as well as total content of amino acids have been determined
