Application of high NPK rates on a grassland situated on a alluvial soil led after 10 years to excessive acidification of soil reaching in an extreme case even pH 3.6 as well as to exhaustion from soil of magnesium, calcium, copper, sodium and zinc. Application of these elements in fertilizers in the second decade regenerated the soil richness and its pH value. There was only the Na content, which increased insignificantly. A significant increase of available Mg, P, K, Cu, and Zn forms in soil and of three different forms of K and of total content of Cu and Zn has been found. All the elements penetrated into soil profile depth of 30 cm
