Production capacity and adjustment abilities of family farms

The analysis was based on the information resulting from the farm accountancy conducted by Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics in private farms in 1991. The analysis has showed that slightly above 10 percent of farms improved their production capacity, 20 percent of farms have hardly any chance for development and adjusting, and almost 70 percent of farms limited very much or even suspended the process of reproduction of their estate. This eliminated any possibility to adjust to conditions determined by changing economic environment of those farms
