The effects of tree density, fertilization and grazing on understorey herbage vegetation in fall, winter and spring are examined in a Pinus maritima plantation in Kilkis, Macedonia, Northern Greece. Relationships between herbage yield and light intensity and soil moisture content are also established for both fertilized and unfertilized plots in each season.
