For the winter wheat cultivation in the northern zone of Oltenia, characterized by deficient precipitation during the cold season in most years, it is necessary to apply watering for shoot development and then to maintain the moisture in soil at minimum level of 50 percent IUA during the whole vegetation period. In this way the best yield (65 q/ha) and a high energetic output (4,2) were got. Provided with optimum quantity of water fertilizers should be applied in doses of 120 kg/ha N and 80 kg/ha P2O5. These doses led to a yield gain of 32,5 q/ha as compared with the variant without chemical fertilizers. Along with the increased production, the applying of the irrigation rate, and the doses of fertilizers recommended, the qualitative parameters of the wheat yields have been improved
