The present experimental design is valuable when studying the problem of primary distribution and metabolism as well as drug fluxes across the blood-milk barrier. Experimental injection to a. iliaca externa was illustrative as one has the within-cow control quarters on the contralateral side. The drug comes to the control quarters by the systemic route
