Pseudopeziza infection in field in two climatic areas was evaluated in Kecskemet (Hungary) and in Keszthely (Hungary). It was found, that the great part of downy mildew and powdery mildew resistant interspecific hybrids are susceptible to Pseudopeziza. Among wild species V. labrusca and V. cineria were infected seriously, the others were resistant. Among the rootstock varieties the most susceptible was Berlandieri x Riaparia T 5C. Among widely used Franco-American hybrids the successful resistance donor SV 12375 and other valuable resistance donors were susceptible. New resistant varieties and candidates, originated from SV 12375 backcross were susceptible or very susceptible, e.g. Bianca, CsFT 194, Zalagyongye etc. A lot of varieties and hybrids of similar origin from abroad were also susceptible. Among V. amurensis progenies could be found resistant, medium susceptible and susceptible genotypes. According to our results it is necessary to evaluate the susceptibility to Pseudopeziza together with the resistance against downy mildew
