The screening of five fungicides and three pruning modes for management of hypoxylon wood rot of tea revealed that normal and surgical prune at 60 cm were superior to medium prune at 45 cm in supressing spread of the disease. The use of benomyl, a systemic fungicide also lowered disease incidence to levels significantly different from that of the other fungicides. Thus, the use of benomyl in integration with surgical high prune seems to be the best option for checking the spread of the disease in infested tea fields
