Oral administration of ochratoxin A (0.25 mL of 50 ppm/animal/day) for 16 weeks alone and in combination with citrinin (0.25 mL of 50 ppm citrinin/animal/day) to young weanling albino Swiss mice (Mus musculus) caused a wide range of histopathological changes in liver and kidney. Ochratoxin A and citrinin combination induced renal carcinoma in the treated animals. To control the renal and hepatotoxicosis caused by these mycotoxins, leaf and berry juice of Vitis vinifera L. were administered to toxin-treated mice regularly for further 16 weeks. Analysis of blood as well as histopathological examination of liver and kidney revealed that leaf and berry juice of V. vinifera had significant positive effect on toxin treated mice. Recovery of up to 33 percent was achieved through this treatment
