Meloidogyne graminicola at various inoculum densities reduced the number of tillers, plant height, herbage, root and grain weight of rice cultivar (UPLRi 5) compared to the uninoculated control. Based on grain weights, yield reduction ranged from 9.50 percent-31.75 percent. The number of galls and eggs produced were significantly different among the treatments. Three upland rice lines (IR62761-20, IR60080-48 and IRAT 610) were found moderately resistant to the nematode based on the gall index among the 51 cultivars/lines evaluated
