Biomass production and N, P, K utilisation efficiency in bred lines and F1 single crosses of winter rye (Secale cereale L.)

High variation for studied characteristics was found in inbred lines and single crosses. These values, with the exception of NPK concentration, were significantly higher in hybrids. Heterosis effects were observed for all characteristics. The highest effects were indicated for grain yield and NPK utilization efficiency.
