The work is an attempt to determine relations between the shape of spectrophotometrical curves of artificial soil samples and humus, iron and water content on the basis of measurements in laboratory conditions. The carried out experiment is a preliminary stage towards elaborating a method of producing and automatic photo-interpreting of air photos for the purposes of soil mapping
