Chemical composition of chosen grass special undersown in spring barley

The results of chemical analysis concerning the content of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and calcium and their uptake by cover crop - spring barley and 4 grass species in the year of sowing and in the 1st year of full utilization have been presented. The grasses were cultivated in field conditions on an arable land on two levels of mineral fertilization. It was stated that the reduplicating rates of NPK caused a considerable growth in N-total and potassium and less in phosphorus and calcium content in grasses. The changes in the concentration of the elements mentioned above depended on cuttings and species of grasses
