[Estimation of phenotypic variability in anatomic parameters of flax stem]

Phenotypic variability of stem anatopic parameters in the lower, middle and the upper parts are estimated in 12 flax samlples of the local and foreign breeding. The greatest differences between the varieties obtained are revealed in the middle part of the stem. The number of fibres on the cut in the lower and middle part of the stem, the number of branches on the cut in the upper part, as well as the number of fibres per circumference length unit in the middle part appeared to be most variable. Qualitative and quantitative characteristics of flax varieties based on their stem anatomic parameters are done in the paper
