[Efficacy and medium-term effects of repeated glufosinate application for the control of raspberry regrowing shoots in biennial cropping systems]

A trial was conducted on the experimental farm of Bruson of the Swiss Federal Research Station of Changins with the aim of studying the efficacy and medium-term effects of repeated glufosinate application to control regrowing raspberry shoots in a biennial cropping system. After an experimental period of seven years two applications of glufosinate (Basta, 0.6 %) per year proved to be sufficient for destroying the regrowing raspberry shoots. No significant difference was stated with respect to yields, fruit shape or shoot length between plants treated with glufosinate and control plants (shoots torn off by hand)
