Weeds in Wheat Fields in Chaharmahal Bakhtiari

Surveys were carried out in 5 different main areas of the province during 1993-1994. One hundred weed species were listed in irrigated wheat fields throughout the province, which belonged to 27 plant families. Sixteen weed species, namely Great bur Parsley Turgenia latifolia, Corn Buttercup Ranunculus arvensis, Common Rye Secale cereale, Field Bindweed Convolvulus arvensis, Cephalaris Cephalaria syriaca, hoary cress Cararia draba, Bedstraw Galium tricorne, Hairy Vetch Vicia villosa, Corn flower Centaurea depressa, Wild Garlic Allium atroviolaceum, Clustered Grape Hyacinth Muscari neglectum, Canada thistle Crisium arvensis, Hare's ear Corningia orientalis, Lythospermum arvense, cow Soapwort Vaccaria pyramidata, Wild Safflower Carthamus oxyacanthus, were each dominant in at least one of the areas
