[Acclimation and cultural practices on onion cold hardiness]
1996
Santana G, M.A. | Corgan, J.N.
Some studies evaluated cold acclimation and planting depth, planting date and soil moisture content at the time of frost treatment on onion plant survival. Cultivars were different in cold hardiness. Older plants were more cold hardy than younger plants. Plants sown deeper and frozen in wet soil withstood colder temperatures.
