Re-engineering for a brown rice-based postharvest system

This paper reviewed studies on brown rice drying, storage, preservation and handling, and high-moisture paddy hulling. The information gathered was integrated to serve as technological bases for quality brown rice storage and processing. A brown rice-based postharvest system and its variants were also evaluated and their merits compared with the present milled rice-based system. Likewise, technology gaps and equipment needs of the brown rice-based system were identified
