Potato breeding is on the right route now. It should be taken into account that with a decrease in the production of seed-tubers in s-elite degree in comparison to the years 1976-80, but at a higher reproduction coefficient, higher yields and lower percentage disqualification and degradation, the needs of farmers, consumers and industry will be ensured with the use of domestic potato varieties
