Effects of the moisture content, impurity level in grain and filling rate on stratification of grain mixture (rye and barley) in a storage bin were investigated. Grain stratification during loading into vertical silo was affected by all examined factors. Mostly small size grains, broken grains, small impurities and sand particles were submitted to stratification process either in bottom and upper parts of the silo
