Usability of Nmin test in fertilization of winter cereals

17 field experiments on the usability of Nmin test in fertilization on winter wheat, rye and triticale were carried out. The content of Nmin in the soils was differentiated by application of increasing nitrogen fertilizers doses for the forecrop of winter cereals e.g. maize. Several doses of nitrogen were applied for winter cereals as well in order to calibrate Nmin test according to the idea of soil nitrogen equivalent. The value of soil nitrogen equivalent measured in the soil layer 0-60 cm early in the spring was close to 1. The optimal quantity of nitrogen from the soil and from the first dose of fertilizers approached 140 kg N/ha
