The research concerning prediction possibility of fertility potential in boar semen has been carried out on 506 ejaculates belonging to LW, L, LS-345-Peris and H breeds. The results obtained after bacteriological and biochemical sperm rich fraction examinations led to the following conclusions: 1. the reductases activity from semen, measured by methyl blue test has shown the existence of differences between analysed genetic types. So, the de- staining time was lower for LW boars, about equal for L and LS-345-Peris breeds and higher for H boars; 2. the concentration values of seminal liquid in fructose ranged between 20.44-25.20 mg per cent for LW, L and LS-345 Peris boars and had higher values for H boars (43.60 mg per cent ) 3. the existent correlation between the time of de- staining of methyl blue by the reductases from seminal liquid with the sperm density (rp = - 0.56) motility ( rp = - 0.24) and especially with fertility (rp = - 0.46) seems to plead for the prediction possibility of fertility by estimating the time of de- staining of methyl blue solution. 4. the existent correlations between the prolificacy and number of piglets born alive with the concentration in fructose of sperm seems to plead for the prediction possibility of fertility potential of boar sperm by determining fructose from ejaculate.
