The latest knowledge in the area of protein nourishment of ruminants, in addition to regular standardization of rations regarding content of total and non-disintegrated proteins, increasingly indicates how important it is to know their amino acid structure. The work presents results of examinations of an optimal combination of concentrated feed as a source of certain limiting amino acids for obtaining the best effects in milk production from cows with a high genetic potential. The second part of this work deals with examinations of the effect of different ratios of bulky and concentrated feeds in rations of cows in the second half of lactation on the quantity and quality of milk.
