Comparative investigations on the effect of the preparations Nicalcimag and Calcin on the mineral metabolism of cows

Clinical, hematological and clinical chemistry investigations on the effect of the preparations Nicalcimag and Calcin on the mineral and protein metabolism of 45 cows treated thrice i. v. and i. m. were carried out. The indices studied were determined before and after the treatment. It was established a favorable influence of the preparation Nicalcimag over the mineral and protein blood content (calcium, phosphorus and total protein). The preparetion Nicalcimag had an earlier effect after i. v. and more lasting effect after i. m. treatment. It didn't lead to durable lesions in the subcutaneous tissuee after i. m. treatment.
