[Stress-susceptibility and sperm production of boars]

Stress-susceptibility of Byelorussian Meaty boars and its relationship to biochemical and physiological characteristics of sperm production were estimated by the halothane and halothane-myometric methods. Sperm cells motility, sperm cells count in ejaculation and sperm cells survival rate were lower in stress-susceptible boars by 3.0-4.6, 1.3-7.6 and 9.6-11.7 per cent respectively as compared with stress-resistant ones. There were no differences between them in the content of phospholipids, glycolytic and hydrolytic enzymes in their sperm except for the activity of succinate dehydrogenase which was lower in stress-susceptible boars by 20-22 per cent
