Relative importance of growth factors determining yield and yield quality of forage rape

Variety tests (11 cultivars, 1983-1986) and experiments with different amounts of nitrogen (0-300 kg/ha, 1987-1991) were carried out near Tartu on the experimental fields of Dept. of Field Crop Husbandry, Estonian Agricultural University. Forage rape yield and quality is influenced mostly by the climatic conditions, nitrogen fertiliser and harvest time, the share of genetic factor is not statistically believable
