Propagation of rose by hard wood cuttings

This work was done under greenhouse conditions to study the effect of planting dates,wounding and IBA on Rosa hybrida cuttings.Best rootings were obtained after four weeks from planting date (the 28th of February).The rooting percentage increased significantly for the wounded cuttings and the same was noticed for the characters of the vegetative growth. Wounded cuttings treated with 1000 ppm of IBA planted on the 31st. of October gave the highest rooting percentage (93.3) and improved all characters studied
