Role of some soil conditioner on some physical charcteristic of gypsic soil materials from Shirqat, Iraq

This work was carried out to study the response of gypsic soil materials to addition of some local materials to improve some physical charcteristics. Two soil materials were used, the first is structure-less and the second has weak structure. These soil materials occupy an extensive area of Jezira and South-West part of adjacent regions. A bulk of surface soil (0-15cm) was taken as representitave soil materials, then treated with fuel gas, wheat straw and nitrogenous fertilizer and their combination as conditioners in three replicates at green house, and field capacity for 150 days under these conditions.
