Effect of radiation and time of planting on growth and yield of triticale

Out door pot experiment was conducted to study the effect of diffrent radiation doses (0, 5.4, 10.8, 16.2 and 21.6 kr) and date of planting (15/10, 1/11 and 15/11) on growth and yield of triticale. Results showed that increased radiation dose beyond 16.2 kr siginificantly decreased germination percentage. As radiation dose increased plant height decreased significantly but stalk diameter increased. Radiation doses of 10.8 and 16.2 kr significantly increased number of spikes/plant, number of seeds/spike, straw yield/plant and grian yield/plant
