Foliar sprayes of nine growth regulators concentrations and three applications were applied to onion plants grown in the experimental field, in order to study the effects of many chemical growth regulators on morphological changes in bulb and leaves of the plants. The results showed that plants treated with 300 ppm of NAA gave earlier bulbing than control and 100 ppm treatment was not significantly effective. Ethephone (4000ppm) stimulated bulb formation earlier than treatments of 1000 ppm excepted when the later concentration was applied three times. However, there was no change in the bulbing response with the repeated applications of 4000 ppm ethephon. Applications of NAA or B9 had no significant effect on bulb diamater and bulb and dry weights. BA significantly increased final bulb diameter and fresh weights. Ethephon applications eather at a rate of 1000 or 4000 ppm caused significant reducation in leaf number, fresh and dry weights except when ethephon was applied as a single application of 1000 ppm. Leaf growth increased by application, but was not affected by B9 treatments
