[Use of Holstein and British Friesian bulls to grade up Lithuanian Black-and-Whites]

In 1980-1995 the Lithuanian Black-and-Whites were graded up with Holstein and British Friesian bulls. After analysing the data the following has been established. 1. Bulls of Holstein breed have increased their daughter's milk production at an average of 76,9 kg of milk and 2,17 kg of milk fat.2. Bulls of the British Friesian breed have decreased their daughter's milk production at an average of 13,9 kg and of milk fat - 0,26 kg. 3. Better fattening and meat qualities are characteristic of the descendants of British Friesian bulls.
