Threshing of buckwheat breed 'Astra' with a one-drum aparatus was research. It was stated that while threshing moist buckwheat 'Astra' (W120), the optimal frequence of drum spinning is from 750 to 850 min* (-1), gap between drum and underdrum (22-6) mm, amount of the supplied mass 3 kg/s. While threshing less moist buckwheat (W1-12), the drum spinning frequency may be reduced down to 750 min* (-1), the gap between drum and underdrum may be increased up to (22-8) mm, up to 4 kg/s of buckwheat may be supplied. It was determined that with a bigger gap between drum and underdrum the separation trough underdrum was more intense, because stems of buckwheat are more binding, with no significant relaxation.
