Results of intradermal skin test to flea antigen extract in dogs with and without flea allergic dermatitis

Three experiments were made with 12 normal dogs and 9 dogs with flea allergic dermatitis. The purpose of the experiments was to determine: (1) threshold concentrations of flea allergen for interdermal allergy testing; (2) diagnose the value of threshold concentration in dogs suspected of being allergic; (3) interaction between reactivity to intradermal skin test of flea antigen and clinical signs of dogs with flea allergic dermatitis; (4) interaction between eosinophilia and the degree of clinical signs in dogs with flea allergic dermatitis. Results of the three experiments are shown in three tables.
