[Weed flora dynamics of the Saratov region in the 20th century]

The serious changes taken place in the botanical composition of weeds in Saratov region are explained. The composition of the previous and the present-day harmful weeds is described. Weed distribution and their influence on crop cultivation as well as the disappearance of specialized weeds are discussed. The appearance of new weed species and their naturalization are considered. It is stated that the weeds of North-American origin have naturalized unusually well
