[Quality estimation of wheat grain varieties grown in Latvia]

In the given investigation the content of protein, moisture, gluten and heavy elements has been analysed in the grain of different wheat varieties. It has been established that different wheat varieties at approximately fixed fertilizer content can produce grain of completely different quality. The grain of each tested variety demonstrated selectivity against particular heavy element. The investigation results prove that with a right fertilizer content heavy elements are not used in the development of grain.
