The purpose of the seminar was the exchange of experiences between Western and Eastern Simmental cattle breeders and discussion about the perspectives of international collaboration in this field. It was admitted that Simmental cattle in Karpathian region in countries of Central and Eastern Europe is suitably adapted to local conditions. The population of local Simmental cattle should be increased and genetically improved
