The Interaction of State and Federal Water Quality Legislation in the United States - Implications for Forestry Practices
1997
Siegel, W.C.
The review of state water quality legislation that affects forestry practices indicates that many of the laws have not been very restrictive to date. There are efforts to control nonpoint source pollution from silvicultural activities. The forestry community should be prepared for increasing implementation, either through administrative regulation or by relatively minor amendment, of many of state water quality laws currently in force.
