Some relationships between milk constituents and milk parameters and eventual relation to breeding system factors were studied. Urea concentration and protein contents were controlled in pooled milk samples. Breed effect was significant inprotein content; grazing influenced significantly urea concentration. Prevalence of maize silage as compared to clover-grass resulted in lower urea levels. Significant effects of month, lactation stage, lactation order genotype on somatic cell count (scc) in individual milk samples were noted. Effect of breed, month, lactation order and season on milk composition and parameters related to dysfunction of mammary gland secretion was tested in individual samples in the first third of lactation
