The almond MN-VS-1 generative rootstock was bred via selection from Slovakian Almond seedlings (Amygdalus communis L.) into the Czecho-Slovakian List of authorized varieties, and was registered in 1991. The generative rootstock of apricot - Myrobalan MY-VS-1 was bred via selection from myrobalans (Prunus cerasifera Ehrh.) from the Beckov Mountain Plain, and was also recorded in 1991
