The effect of A and E vitamins on the quality of ejaculate in cocks was studied during the second half of the reproduction season. Vitamins A and E were administered per os to individally housed animals from 50 weeks of age during 14 days in doses of 1000 i.u. and 2 mg (1st experimental group)and 2000 i.u. and 4 mg (2nd experimental group). The volume of ejaculate, concentration of spermatozoa and total number of spermatozoa produced were studied at one week intervals up to the age of 66 weeks. The differences in average volume of ejaculate between the compared groups were minimal. The average concentration of spermatozoa in ejaculate decreased by 1.05x10E6/mm**3 in 1st experimental group, by 0.45x10E6/mm**3 in 2nd experimental group, and by 1.30x10E6/mm**3 in the control during the same period. A common cock produced 22.8x10E9 spermatozoa in 1st experimental group, 23.4x10E9 in 2nd experimental group, and 19.4x10E9 spermatozoa in the control group during the studied period
