Grouper culture in Thailand has been carry out for more than 10 years, under various name. Oscillation of the name occured on the communication of scientist to farmer or farmer to foreigner. The up to date correct name of the species are present on this report. Epinephelus coioides for pla kao dok dang, Epinephelus malabaricus for pla kao dok dum and Epinephelus larceolatus of pla mor tale or pla kao tang.
